I've been eagerly anticipating Duro Olowu's Spring/Summer 2013 collection for JC Penney. Excited by the news that he enlisted long-time friend (and one of my style icons), Iris Apfel, to help design the line, I couldn't be happier that the wait is finally over...and oh, was it worth it! Which pieces to even pounce on? Olowu's dynamic prints enliven a typically sedate sheath dress, and he completely reimagines the classic belted trench. And his work with metallics? The collared gold brocade coat is too perfect for words. The line has it all - jewelry, shoes, and even dishware serving up joyful splashes of color. With prices ranging from $10 to $90 (and all apparel under $75), it's never been more affordable to let the sun shine in your warm-weather wardrobe.
