Covets - Mother of Pearl Sweatshirts

I'll admit it - I've been feeling a bit lazy lately.  You see, once the weather starts to drop, I crave coziness - giant, snuggly sweaters and oversized infinity scarves.  But that can all get a bit boring.  Which is why I'm so in love with Mother of Pearls' cheeky sweatshirts.  I absolutely adore the idea of rocking a piglet in flight, guaranteed to lighten up the dreariest of winter days.  And a bedazzled turkey?  Silly perfection for this year's Thanksgiving feast, of course!

Covets - Snash Double Claw Ring

Well, this isn't so much a covet as a cave.  As in, I loved it so much I had to scoop it up.

Created by Snash Jewelry, a Brooklyn-based designer, the piece is insanely ferocious.  Reminiscent of the work of my much adored Pamela Love, it's my first double finger ring.  Beyond comfortable, it's also adjustable - just squeeze the sides a bit and it fits perfectly while still affording an unexpected amount of freedom of movement - unheard of with most double finger treasures.

Available in antique gold, antique silver, ruthenium and sterling silver, in both matte or polished versions, it's never been simpler to get exactly what you want.  After much debating, I went with antique silver with a matte finish.  Edgy and fun, I can't sing it's praises enough.

Covets - Catherine Malandrino for Kohls

Just when we thought we couldn't possibly see another stunning compilation before 2013 runs out its clock, Kohls came along and wowed us with their Catherine Malandrino for DesigNation collection. The line takes direct inspiration from one of the designer's bases, the city of lights, and Paris themes run through the line with sweaters, berets and copious amounts of black. Ever a francophile at heart, you won't hear this lady complaining. The best part? Each piece is on sale now. Scoop your favorite up while they last!

Covets - Foxy Flats

I have a soft spot in my heart for foxes.  Maybe it's because my husband loves them so much (his band?  The Fox Doctors, naturally).  And when you pair them up with red and white polka dots and bows?  Could anything be more perfectly made for me?

ModCloth's Clever So Sweet Flat by t.u.k. are a selection from their Be the Buyer Program in which members pick items they want sold exclusively for the site.  In festive red, with a fox tail cheekily wrapping around the back, I want to wear them with absolutely everything; dark blue denim, black and white stripes, teal - they're just that delightful.

Covets - Boots That Go Bling

I'm a little obsessed with black and gold footwear for fall. There's something so undeniably edgy about cool, black leather paired with a sprinkling of gold studs. I'm over the moon for the look, but I have yet to find the perfect pair. I have commitment issues, I suppose. Usually I debate for so long that my top choices are no longer available and I can only look back, forlorn, at the purchases that might have been. Fall and winter account for a long stretch of time, though; maybe I'll be able to pin myself down before Spring arrives and all I want is to show off a good pedicure and some sandals.

Covets - Old Navy Animal Sweaters

Remember last winter when we were all obsessed with Taylor Swift's adorable fox sweater from Aubin & Wills?

Old Navy came to the rescue then with their own incredible interpretation, and this year they're back with an even cheekier reimagining.

Available in four styles, their graphic crew-neck features a bespectacled fox, a dapper owl, a fancy Boston terrier, or a regal bluebird.  I still can't decide which version I covet the most, as all would equally charm worn over a collared shirt with a bib necklace, patterned skinnies and ankle boots.

With Old Navy once again on my radar, I'll be checking back frequently to see what other treats they have in store for us this winter.

Covets - Phillip Lim for Target

Phillip Lim is the latest in a long string of designers to collaborate with Target on a ready-to-wear collection that is both affordable and fashionable. I'm so excited to get my hands on these pieces, which are just perfect for fall and look so much richer than their pricetags would suggest. That navy dress and the navy and kelly green blouse/skirt combo are just two of the things on my list to snatch up when the collection hits Target's stores on September 15th.

Covets - Cole Haan's Chelsea Lo Flared Pump

I'm sort of obsessed with calf hair leopard print, as history has shown, and this season I seem to be more in love with this combo than ever. So when I saw Cole Haan's Chelsea Low Flared Heel in the windows of their flagship on Fifth Avenue near Rockefeller Center I fell a little bit more in love. The other colors are equally appealing, and I just can't get over how much I love the design of this shoe. The chunky, petite heel is just so manageable, measuring in at only 1.75" high. It's thickness, and Cole Haan's reliably comfortable footbeds, assure me that this shoe would be a dream. And a practical one at that. Now if only the pricetag was a little more practical. At $348 these are a bit expensive for me to justify. Can't a girl get a sale? Thanksgiving weekend, perhaps? That seems eons from now!

Covets - Olive & Winnie Confection Necklace

I haven't yet jumped on the brightly hued cabochon necklace trend, but I think I've finally found a worthy piece to get me started.  Dubbed the Taylor necklace on Wink and Flip's website, Olive & Winnie's Confection necklace can also sporadically be found during select blink-or-you'll-miss-it flash sales at Ideeli.com.  And what a sweet treat it is!  I love the juxtaposition of glamorous gemstone clusters on a strand of translucent beads.  Available in four color options, I'll be snatching up the green beaded version, an insanely colorful piece that will amp up my fall wardrobe and remind me of all those fun summer nights.

Covets - Isabel Marant Sneakers

I know we all tend to have a love/hate relationship with high-top sneakers, but I am going to come clean - I am in total lust with Isabel Marant's Bekket sneaker.  Available in so many fun patterns, colors, heights and textures, I'm dying to get my hands on a fresh, white pair.  So reminiscent of loafers, there's absolutely nothing they won't go with - skinnies, poofy skirts, twirl-y, girlie sundresses - the possibilities are endless.

Covets - Jewelry by Anndra Neen

I'm not a huge fan of chokers; my everyday necklace choices usually lean towards the enormous.  Anndra Neen has inspired me to step out of my comfort zone.  Started by sisters Annette + Phoebe Stephens, the collection features disparate pieces inspired by geometry, ancient Egypt, Japanese design and nature.  Bracelets, rings (and even bags!) are true works of art; I'm craving their spine choker, perfect peeking out from beneath a button down or atop a flowy chiffon ensemble.  And their entire cage line is the epitome of everyday armor.  With so many stunning choices, I suspect I'll be amassing quite a little treasure trove in the years to come.

Covets - Noir Jewelry

Pie recently scooped up a stunning Noir for L.A.M.B. necklace on Ideeli for a song, and I sat across from her all night on a lady date recently ogling it. Now I have plans to stalk sample sale sites until I can acquire a similar one for my own, but in the meantime I'm stuck admiring these beauties from afar. With mixed metals, rhinestones and perfectly executed rope chains these styles have me bewitched.

Covets - The Wet Brush

For the first time in I can't even count how many years, I finally have long hair again.  And, although I love the new length, I kind of hate fussing with it.  My routine in the morning consists of me washing it, spraying in my volume moisturizing mist, flipping my head upside down and drying it by hand.  When I try to run a brush through, it always gets caught.  Detangling sprays don't seem to work, and, lacking in the patience department, I have been known to pull too hard and accidentally brush a piece of hair off.

Clearly, I need help.

I got the best haircut of my life last week by Brittany at Aura Style Lounge near my office.  But what excited me even more than my perfect layers was my post-wash comb through.  Fresh from the sink, my hair was effortlessly straightened in seconds.  Crazed, I had to know what her secret was; did she use some fancy spray?  A lux conditioner, maybe?  But, no - it was the Wet Brush!

The Wet Brush completely eliminates tangles.  With flexible bristles, it painlessly and smoothly runs through anyone's hair with ease.  No mess is too big, no clump too harrowing.

Completely sold, I'm going to be getting two - a regular size and the mini version for my purse.  After going through almost every drugstore brush and comb, I've finally found the ultimate fix.

My poor, aching head couldn't be more pleased.

Covets - Molly Rose Post Jewelry

I first encountered the amazing world of Molly Rose Post Jewelry at Metalliferous; Molly was wearing rows and rows of beautiful bangles that instantly caught my eye.  Soon after, she participated in a trunk show at the studio where I'm apprenticing, and made me an acolyte ever since.

A lifelong designer and metalsmith, I'm fascinated by her cultivated approach to adornment; she advocates wearing a stack of bracelets on each arm, a ring on each finger, her style self-described as "excessive".  As a forever gaudy girl, I always love it when the rulebook is thrown out and people choose what makes them smile, not what's 'of the moment'.

I, of course, had to acquire her blinged out Princess Ring, reminiscent of one of my favorite board games as a child.  I actually shouldn't even mention how many pieces of hers I've been wearing lately, but I'm drawn to them all - they're sculptural at times, over-the-top at others, and always wildly imaginative.

Molly is a joy as a person, and her loveliness simply shines through in everything she creates.  Do yourself a favor, and pick up a little piece of happiness.
