The husband and I went for a long stroll in Inwood Hill Park the Sunday before Sandy hit the city. We wanted a chance to frolick and play in the little forest before she was stripped of all her foliage. I'm so glad that we did- autumn is my absolute favorite time of year, perhaps most of all because of all the brilliant colors I delight in. It makes losing leaves altogether for the long winter months just a little bit more bearable.
